Fox News Freaks

Speaking to host Shepard Smith, Brit Hume, one of Fox News' lead talking heads, had this response to the London Terror Attacks:

My first thought when I heard there had been this attack and I saw the futures this morning, which were really in the tank, I thought, hmm, it's a good time to buy. Others may have thought that as well.

He sees death and despair in London as an investment opportunity, but swears up and down that Iraq is not about oil. Sick freaks! These are the people many Americans look to for their news and opinions about the world. It explains so much.

Proverbs 17:5
"He who mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished."

  1. It's sad... comments like that sure give us conservatives a bad name... reminds me of Howard Dean and his idiotic hate speeches, and what they do for the liberal democRATS. Where was your post on that?

    In case you missed it...

  2. I read the article for which you provided a link. Howard Dean generalizing about Republicans and Fox News seeing bombings as an investment opportunity are two very different things. Neither is right, but if anyone in the world commented that 9/11 was a good investment opportunity, Fox News would have been all over them like mad dogs.

Dean saying that Republicans are the White Christian party is hardly news - republicans themselves essentially make the same argument.

Fox News' comments don't give conservatives a bad name. They illustrate the demographic to which Fox News caters -- those who profiteer from death and destruction. And, anyone who is truly a Christian, wouldn't fit in that category.
