And as the picture focused in, you could see the writing on the headstone, and it gave his awards - Purple Heart, Bronze Star - showed that he died in Iraq, gave his date of birth, date of death, he was 20 years old. And then at the very top of the head stone, it didn't have a Christian cross. It didn't have a Star of David. It has a crescent and star of the Islamic faith.
And his name was Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan. And he was an American. He was born in New Jersey. He was fourteen years old at the time of 9/11, and he waited until he could serve his country and he gave his life.

Watched the show maybe once. I'm not throwing my hard earned money away on the SITC movie.
I'll throw my hard earned cash at seeing Phantom of the Opera, live on stage, one more time this week in SacTown. Combined with a dinner at a nice Spanish Tapa's restaurant.
My guilty TV pleasure this year, was watching and enjoying Eli Stone.

I think most of the movies out there today are trash too: recycled concepts from comic books, '70s and '80s "hits", etc.
My friends are tired of me bemoaning the lack of creativity in hollywood.
But there have been a few winners lately: Little Miss Sunshine (original and very entertaining story), Juno, etc.
The problem is most people simply want explosions, sex or a combination of the two for entertainment.

I worked in Hollywood for years. Rest assured, creativity is rejected daily in favor of uniformity in the cultural message.

I am happy with the link... essay given earlier. I spent a couple of weeks on it.. and it deals, I hope with a lot of the issues coming out currently with our economic system and its antecedents.

It is a basic history of money from you know what perspective, and tries to deal with a lot of the ''conspiracy theory'' aspect also that for what ever reason people are brainwashed or inculcated into believing.

Rigghhttt...you are a fool, Skip. It is more than just about shekels. In fact, sometimes they even lose money just to make a bad propaganda film that nobody wants to watch.
Anyhow, imagine if this show was about guys. Instead of being celebrated for sleeping with dozens of women, they'd be reviled as "chauvinist pigs" who don't know their TV place as obedient, henpecked hubbies.
