Does she take after you or your husband, or is she a mosaic?

my daughter is a combination of my father-in-law and my mother (mosaic) - while my son is a near exact clone of me

She is most definitely a mosaic of my husband and my mother/sister. People who don't notice subtlety think she looks like me because of coloring, but that's just about where the similarity ends.

It's funny the extent to which daughters express the father, but in my family, that paradigm seems to have been pretty much turned on its head.

What tickles me most are the small behavioral traits that pass through, like a faint intermittent lisp, certain facial expressions, postures, habits, or a laugh.

It is the behavioral traits that fascinate me the most. The little angel has my tenacity thus far, but we will see how it all develops.

On my dad's side of the family, all my cousins have very similar characters notwithstanding having been raised in different places. It is eerie at times how similar our personality traits are and I am curious to see if it carries through to the offspring.
